On March 15th, 2014, Stephen Martin Powell, of Greers Ferry, Ark., peacefully completed his journey to our Lord's Kingdom. Born in Memphis, Tenn., Steve never met a stranger, and never turned away a friend. Steve was a graduate of Christian Brothers High School in Memphis, Tenn., an Eagle Scout, the "Coke Man" throughout the South for over 30 years with Coca Cola Enterprises, and finally, owner/operator of Steve's Lawn Care in Greer's Ferry. He leaves his loving wife Cristi, daughter, Lisa, son, Barrett, grandson Austin, granddaughter, Kayla, and sisters, Mary Lou and Susan. He is predeceased by his parents, Jack and June Powell, and his brothers, Jack Jr. and Bruce. There will be a memorial service held for Steve at the Holiday Hills United Methodist Church in Greers Ferry, Ark. on Saturday, March 22nd. Visitation will be at 10 a.m., and the service will begin at 11 a.m., and all who knew him are invited to share in this celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who wish to offer a remembrance instead support one of Steve's charitable passions: Greers Ferry Emergency Medical Services (EMS), P.O. Box 1264, Greers Ferry, Ark. 72067, and Holiday Hills United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 8824 Edgemont, Greer's Ferry, Ark. 72067.
