Raymond Udell Cupp

Raymond Udell Cupp, age 78 of Brinkley, Ark., died at his home on Friday, March 21, 2014. Raymond was born October 24, 1935 in Moro, AR to Udell Cupp and Florene Mullinax Cupp. On November 22, 1953, Raymond married the love of his life, Audine Clemons Cupp, and they were blessed with six children. From an early age, Raymond only new hard work. Daylight until dark, farm work and later on, a heavy equipment operator. When he had time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. After a few trips trying to teach some of his son-in-laws how to hunt, he decided maybe it was time to give this up. He loved the outdoors whether raking leaves, or picking up pecans, mowing the grass, or planting flowers for Mom, he was the happiest when he was outdoors. He took up wood working and together he and Mom made some beautiful crafts. Raymond was of the Church of Christ faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, Udell and Florene Cupp, son, Mitchell Wayne Cupp, and grandson, Michael Wayne Cupp. Surviving family members are his wife, Audine; four daughters, Doris Alderson (Eddy) of Brinkley, Rachel Robinson of Sheridan, Diana Howton (Dale) of Brinkley, Theresa Donner (Danny) of South Carolina, and one son, Roger Cupp of Brinkley; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hazel Chism of Clarendon, Maybell Hatch of Sherwood, and two brothers, Billy Cupp of Monroe and Wesley Cupp of Brinkley. Services will be at the Broadmoor Baptist Church on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be one hour before service. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Ricky Howton, Joshua, Justin and Jake Donner, Steven and Marcus Cupp, and Chad and Casey Cupp; David Tate honorary. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
