Katie Ellen Carter Shumate

Katie Ellen Carter Shumate, 32, of Conway passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014. She was born May 22, 1981, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Michael Wayne and Karon Hill Carter. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13). Katie is survived by her husband Duncan N. Shumate; sons, Ayden C. Shumate age 9, and Carter M. Shumate age 5; Daughter, Abigail Katherine Shumate age 7; mother, Karon Hill Carter; sister, Michael Carter Mitchell (John) of Yellville; brother, John Kirk Carter (Anh) of London, England; grandmother, Katie Pickett of Camden; and many other loving family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Michael Wayne Carter, and brother, Micah Caleb Carter. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2014, at Second Baptist Church in Conway with Pastor Mark Dance officiating. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers: John Mitchell, Brad Lipscomb, Tyler Pickett, Tanner Pickett, Max Hill, James Hill, Josh Brooks, Payton Brooks.
