Charles Fredrick Flynt Jr., 91, of Cabot passed away Friday, March 28, 2014. He was born July 5, 1922 in Lonoke to the late Charles Fredrick Flynt Sr. and Annie Taylor Flynt. A United States Navy Veteran, Mr. Flynt served during WWII and Pearl Harbor as a Boatswain Mate First Class on the USS Ramsey, USS Pruett and USS White Marsh. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Mr. Flynt was an avid fiddle player and played with the Hank Thrasher Band for over 15 years and also played in the Kern Kennedy Band. He enjoyed playing for nursing homes and senior centers and was the Grand Marshall of the 2013 Cabot Christmas Parade. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, James Louis Flynt, Richard Milton Flynt, Juanita Brown, Gladys Cates, and Anna Lea McGinley. Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Eula Mae Flynt of Cabot; sister, Sue Allen; nephew, Pastor Robbie Flynt and his wife, Sherri and their children Seth Flynt and Kerri Stack all of Little Rock. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m., Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Monday, March 31, 2014 at the funeral home, with Pastor Robbie Flynt officiating.
