Doyle Covington

On March 28, 2014, DOYLE COVINGTON, father of three, left us at the age of 75 to be with God. Doyle was born April 19, 1938, was preceded in death by his brother, Clyde Covington of Prescott, Ark.; and by his sister, Sylvia Turner of Conroe, Texas. He is survived by his two sisters, Joyce Campbell of Bryant and Faye Preston of Prescott. Doyle celebrated his 52nd wedding anniversary with his wife, Peggy, in February of this year. He is the father of three happily married children, Brenda Covington, M.D. and husband Tony Raby of Little Rock, Rodney Covington and wife Stacey of Mountain Home, and Cindy Bell and husband Neil of Little Rock. He was also the grandfather of five wonderful grandchildren. He served in the Army National Guard and was an avid fisherman, deer hunter, youth softball coach and umpire, Razorback fan, and most of all a Godly man who loved his wife and family. He was a strong husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed. A celebration of his life will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Ark. 72209, (501) 455-5800.
