William "Bill" Milligan

The family of WILLIAM "BILL" MILLIGAN wishes to announce his passing on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the age of 90 years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Milligan; children, Al (Denise) Milligan, Jane (Jeff) Steele, Joe (Lori) Milligan; numerous grandchildren; and great grandchildren; as well as other family members, Ken and Mary Brown, Tim and Danine Brown, Cindy Brown, Chris and Melinda Bayda and their children and grandchildren. Bill was born and raised in Little Rock, Ark. During WWII he served in the U.S. Coast Guard of which he had wonderful memories. He married his wife, Dorothy on June 25, 1949. He served with the U.S. Marine Core in the Korean War. In 1971 he made Canada his home. Bill's children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. Bill was a passionate football fan, especially for the Dallas Cowboys, and riding his bicycle into his late 80's. Bill was known for his kindness and outgoing personality which reflected his outlook on life. He always had a smile for everyone. He volunteered numerous hours to the church and Salvation Army. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Reverend Christopher Snook for his support. They are very grateful to the staff at Parkside Extendicare for the wonderful care Bill received and to friends and family for their support. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at St Lukeís Anglican Church, 3233 Argyle Road, Regina, SK on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. Donations in memory of Bill may be made to the William Booth Salvation Army Special Care Home, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK S4R 8P6.
