Bert Stanley Brown

Bert Stanley Brown, of North Little Rock, born October 24, 1924 near Pleasant Hill in Lonoke County, AR died at the age of 89 on April 29, 2014. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Elsie LeMay Brown; his parents, Jesse and Ivy Howell Brown, brothers, Lee, Len, Bill, and Edwin Rex (Shorty) and sisters, Aileen and Mable Brown, Bessie Mathews and Tressie Barker. He is survived by daughters, Martha Holsted (Jay) and Margaret Adcock (Ricky) and grandchildren, Sarah Holsted (David), David Holsted (Jennifer) and Anna Leatherwood (Cory); five great-grandchildren; and his sister, Mary Lyons. Bert leaves behind thirteen nieces and nephew, a host of friends, and friends of his children and grandchildren who loved him and called him "Bert-Bertie." Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd. North Little Rock, Ark. 72116, (501-791-7400). Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Austin, Ark. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Friday, May 2, 2014 at the funeral home.
