Melvin Lee Hill, age 79 of Paron, went to be with the Lord, on April 28, 2014 with his family by his side. Mr. Hill was born on December 9, 1934 in Paron, Arkansas to his parents Sam and Mary Hill. He was an avid fisherman and hunter along with a general love for the outdoors. He enjoyed gardening and being a Mason, where he enjoyed the job of cooking fish for the Paron Masonic Lodge fish fry. Melvin was a member of North Fork Baptist Church. He was a very sharp-witted man and was a true joy to spend time with. Melvin leaves behind his wife, Pearline (Penny) Hill and his children; Donna Lee Winfrey and her husband Glenn, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Steven Lynn Hill, of Austin, Texas and Mark Lane Hill and his wife, Kim, of North Little Rock. Grandchildren; Samantha Russell and Dalton, Daylon, Drayson and Durham Hill. He also leaves behind two step-sons; Tommy and Steven Carneal and his brother, Alvin Hill and his wife, Margo of Russellville and a special sister-in-law, Margaret Elliott, along with a host of other friends and relatives, who will always miss his presence. Mr. Hill is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Allie Merle Hill. A celebration of life will be held for Melvin at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2014 in the chapel of Dial & Dudley Funeral home in Bryant.
