J. Carol Self

J. Carol Self, 55, of Clarendon, died May 8, 2014. She was born December 28, 1958 to Ernest and Lucille Rogers. Carol served as Monroe County Treasurer/Collector, as well as pianist at First Baptist Church Clarendon. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was loved and admired by many. Carol was preceded in death by her father, Ernest "Kaiser" Rogers and sister, Berta Wofford. She is survived by her husband, Carlton; daughter, Miranda (Jonathan) McCoy; granddaughter, Emma Grace McCoy; mother, Lucille Rogers; sisters, Kay Rogers and Sherry Stimpson; brother, Mike (Debbie) Rogers. Visitation will be 12:30-2 p.m. Saturday, May 10 at the First Baptist Church in Clarendon. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery.
