Eleanor Schwingle Watson

Mrs. Eleanor Schwingle Watson, 77, died Friday, May 9, 2014. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Watson, a native of Norwich, N.Y., had been a resident of Greenville for the past six years. She was a graduate of Norwich High School and the Rochester Business Institute. She was the owner of a gift store in Baton Rouge, La. and owner of a shop specializing in Miniatures in Arkansas. Mrs. Watson enjoyed Genealogy and was a member of the D.A.R. For a number of years, she served as a Girl Scout leader, was a member of the Greenville Quilters Guild, and First Presbyterian Church of Washington. She is survived by her: husband of 58 years, William F. Watson; daughters, Anita L. Watson, of Pleasantville, N.Y. and Judith L. Watson-Boyce, of Baton Rouge, La.; son, James M. Watson, of Tokyo, Japan; three grandchildren; and a sister, Helen S. Garrett, of McLean, Va.
