May 9, 2014, Pat Jones "Pitty Pat", went to bring laughter to Heaven. She has now joined her mother, Helen Polly Travis and father, Norwood Norny Travis at the dinner table in Heaven where the veggies are always fresh. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Don Jones who is presently getting an earful. She is survived by the greatest humans to ever live: her children, Teresa, Jeff and Stacy Jones; her saintly grandchildren, Taylor, Grant, Riely; and great-grandbabies, Jaxon and Corbin; her brother, Charlie Horse (Florence) Travis; nephew, Lance (Stacia) Travis; and the best niece to ever grace her presence, DeeDee Dewdrop Travis. Pat Jones loved her family above all else, Jeff and Teresa were her life and then came her grandbabies and they were her heart and soul and she showed it day in and day out. Pat Jones loved her community and she was a devoted Lonoke jackrabbit until the end. She loved all children of this community and was Nana Pat to all. The community even gave her a pretend badge which she refused to acknowledge as pretend and it was on. Pat Jones loved her crazy Lewis cousins and spoke about them often. She tried to tell stories, but couldn't get them out because of the laughter her memories produced. And now the YaYas. You know what you meant to her, Rosemarie, Pam and Kay. We would like to thank you three ladies for bringing her the most joy and she loved you until the end. Although Pat wanted ponies and a Ferris wheel at her funeral, there wasn't enough time. "I can't think of a more wonderful thanksgiving for the life I have had than that everyone should be jolly at my funeral." Visitation, 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 12 at Lonoke Baptist Church, arrangements by Boyd Funeral Home. www.boydfuneralhome.net.
