Hal Harden, 66, of Little Rock passed away on Monday, May 12, 2014. He was born February 11, 1948 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Oster and Lucille Harden. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, George Harden and a niece, Karen Kay Kindy. Hal lived a rich and full life. He enjoyed many travels across North America and Canada with the love of his life, his wife, Diane, of 40 years. He is also survived by two devoted daughters, Sarah Blakley (Jeremiah) and Hannah Freeman (Matt); four grandchildren, Blane, Blair and Brylee Blakley and Audrey Freeman; one brother, Rev. Bill Harden (Margaret), one sister, Barbara Owen (John), one sister-in-law, Joann Harden; many nieces, nephews, and other family friends. He attended Central High School before joining the U.S. Air Force where he served his country as a Fire Protection Specialist from 1966 to 1970. He later retired in 2005 after 20 years of dedicated service to the Department of Veteran Affairs and the V.A. Fire Department as Assistant Fire Chief. He was a gifted craftsman, skilled in custom cabinetry. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of North Little Rock, Arkansas. He deeply loved his Pastor, and church family-his brothers and sisters of ‘like precious faith' who lifted him up in prayer during this time of his immeasurable faith. He offered to all those he met the gift of laughter and he was famous for taking the road ‘less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.' A visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, both to be held at First Pentecostal Church. 1401 Calvary Road, North Little Rock.
