John Grady Hipp

John Grady Hipp, 84, of Country Club Hills, of 57 years passed away on May 10, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Virginia Ann Hipp, sons: Miles (Carolyn) Hipp of Joliet, Thomas (Sue) Hipp of New Lenox. Samuel (Kimberly) of Frankfort. Grandchildren: Madeline, Leah, Jeffrey, Daniel, Bryan; sister-in-law, Betty (late Norman) Stark of Hot Springs Ark. Preceded in death by his brother: S.L. Jr. "Bud" (late Opal), and parents, S.L. and Winnie Hipp. Born in Alsatia, Louisiana and raised in Heber Springs, Ark., Mr. Hipp married his High school sweetheart Virginia. After serving in the Navy during the Korean War, the couple moved to Chicago and soon after Country Club Hills. He retired from Crown Cork and Seal as a Millwright after 33 years. Mr. Hipp enjoyed Bass fishing and visited all 50 states with his wife. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 14th, 3 p.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 7 p.m. at Heartland Memorial Center, 7151 183rd St. Tinley Park, Ill.
