Mary Ann Causey Miller, 84, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014, surrounded by her family and many friends. She is survived by her loving husband, Henry Grady Miller, Jr. and their two daughters Mary Ann Miller and Emily Sturges Miller. She is preceded by her son, James Robert Mayfield and is blessed with seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The daughter of John Fletcher and Sarah Alice Causey, Mary Ann was born and raised in Hollywood, Florida. She attended Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia where she studied communications. She lived in Macon for 10 years where she was married and gave birth to her first child before returning to Hollywood. She met Grady in 1961 and after a four-year long-distance courtship, they married and moved to Little Rock where she lived her remaining years. She was active in the Scattered Seed Garden Club and was a dedicated Sunday school teacher. She was involved and outspoken on political issues in Arkansas and an active member in F.L.A.G. and Phyllis Schlafly's Eagle Forum, campaigning on behalf of pro-life and conservative initiatives. Mary Ann will be remembered for her style, smile, endless energy and uplifting spirit and most importantly – her enduring faith. A member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, she was a devoted Christian and spent her days encouraging so many in the community. She never met a stranger and always took time to help those in emotional and spiritual need. She was prolific in her writing and spent her later years composing and sharing her poetry. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, May 15 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway Little Rock, Ark. (501) 224-8300.
