Scott Christopher Martin

Scott Christopher Martin, 60 of Benton, Ark. passed away on May 11, 2014. He was born December 16, 1953. He was preceded in death by his parents: Bernard and Margareth Martin of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and sister, Gayle Bromstead of Springdale, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Alene, daughters: Ashley Rowan and Kristen Lee (Cliff) and grandchildren; Jaxon and Maci Lee and Carson Rowan, siblings: Shannon Newell, Michele and Blake Martin. Scott loved nothing more than to be in the kitchen cooking or outside grilling for family, friends and neighbors. Scott was a dedicated employee of Simplex-Grinnell for 38 years. He loved being with his grandchildren and never missed a game his son-in-law pitched. Scott was a very loyal friend and husband. He never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. Service will be Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home, 4212 Highway 5 North, Bryant, Ark. 501-847-9009. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital Hematology Oncology Child Life Program in Honor of his three grandchildren.
