Mary H Wesson

Mary H. Wesson of Little Rock went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at the age of 68. Mary was born to Larkin F. Johnson and Marion (Rushing) of Little Rock on August 29, 1945. She was preceded in death by both her parents and her husband of 46 years, Harold E. Wesson. Mary is survived by her son Michael; daughter Suzanne Taylor; grandchildren Amber Nicole, Drew Michael and Rachel Tackett; and nine of her ten siblings; Elizabeth Alexander, Caroline Kingley, Cliff Potts, Ginger Potts, J.R. Lupton, Bealinda K. Lupton, Leonard Emerson, Celeste Emerson and Theresa Joslin. Special friends Kathy Riable, Paul Crow, Tonya Rumbaugh, Jerry Russell and Bonnie Hodgin. Mary was a homemaker and racing wife who loved to be surrounded by family and friends. She enjoyed entertaining and was well known for her home-style country cooking. Mary enjoyed working in her flower beds and vegetable garden. Many of those vegetables became a part of her "Awesome Salsa", a real family favorite. Mary was an avid animal lover, known for taking-in strays and feeding all sorts of critters when on camping trips. She enjoyed Country music and was an Elvis Presley and Rod Stewart fan. Her favorite race driver was Tony Stewart. Visitation for Mary will be held on Friday evening, May 16th, from 6-8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home in Alexander. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m., in the Funeral Home Chapel, with interment immediately following at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
