Robert H. Gatlin, 90 of Plumerville, passed away on May 16, 2014 in Plumerville, Ark. He was born on Jan. 15, 1924 in Havana, Ark.; he was the son of Robert Hayse Gatlin and Carmen Gatlin.
Mr. Gatlin was retired from Missouri Pacific (formerly Rock Island) Railroad, and was a United States Navy Veteran of WWII and Korea, as well as a member of Plumerville Baptist Church
He is preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Helen Ruth Gatlin; and his parents.
Survivors include his sons, Wayne Gatlin of Conway and Billy Gatlin of Plumerville; four grandchildren, BJ Gatlin, Jason Gatlin, Jamie Gatlin and Kari Gatlin Tedesco; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy Gatlin of Benton; and a sister, Suda Bailey of Cabot.
