John L. Ulmer, Jr., 62, of Little Rock, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2014. John was born on January 4, 1952 in Little Rock to the late John L. and Polly Ulmer, and predeceased by his sister, Judith Shell. John was the owner of John L.Ulmer & Son, Builders, Inc. and well known as the builder of some of Little Rock's finest residences and estates. John served as president of Arkansas Home Builders Association, was a lifetime member of various wildlife federations and was a member of SAE Fraternity. In addition to his love of building, John was an avid outdoorsman. Growing up in a family that enjoyed both hunting and fishing, he continued to share this love with family and close friends making memories that will last beyond a lifetime. Mr. Ulmer is survived by his loving wife, Marty Ulmer; daughters, Caristiana Roystuart and Jaclyn Ulmer; three grandchildren, Caleb, Cole, and Alexa; sister, Joan Pletcher and husband, J.J. of Ocala, Florida and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
