Douglas Arthur Cloyes, 71, of Bald Knob, died Sunday May 18, 2014. He was born July 9, 1942 in Searcy. Mr. Cloyes owned and operated the C&J Remodeling Company in Little Rock for 30 years before retiring back to Bald Knob. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He enjoyed trips with friends to Colorado elk hunting. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Cloyes; three children, Steven D. Cloyes (Andrea) of Lamar, Kathie Cloyes of Bald Knob and Patricia Saffle (Jim) of McRae; sister, Mae Burchfield (Joe) of Bald Knob; brother, James Harold Cloyes of Bald Knob; grandchildren, Douglas J. Cloyes, Steven A. Cloyes, Joseph Stanley Kacperski, Johnathon Lee Kacperski, MistyMobley, Amber Lowery and Richard Chambless; great-grandchildren, Tyler Cloyes, Evey Cloyes, Brenden Cloyes, Alaina Cloyes, Adelaide Cloyes, Corbin Douglas Kacperski, Cameron Merritt, Braiden Wortham, Alexander Lowery, Cailin Merritt, Landen Lowery, Gabriel Chambless, Devon Chambless, Jasmin Chambless and Lillian Mobley. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Arthur Cloyes; mother, Ethel Lee Moody Deeter; brother, Billy Ray Cloyes. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 23, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
