Margie Lou Pauls

Jesus said, "Come to me all who are heavy laden and I will give you rest", and so on Sunday, May 18, 2014, Margie Lou Pauls, 85, of Fayetteville, Arkansas was welcomed into her Heavenly home. She was born to Mary Lou and Robert Ivory McLemore on November 12, 1928 in Lambert, Mississippi. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Robert Micheal Lake, a daughter, Mary Amelia Leatherby, husbands, Earl Dunivant Lake and Frank Pauls, brother, R.I. "Sonny" McLemore, a sister, Ina Dean Smith and grandson, Shannon "Shane" Lake. After the death of her father to cancer, Margie, at 40-plus years of age, changed her career and returned to college to become an R.N. so that she could care for the sick. She worked for the Baptist Medical Center and then St. Francis Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee until she retired. Margie is survived by a son, Milton Earl Lake (Becky) of Greenbrier, Arkansas.; a son, Charles Raymond Lake of Fayetteville, Arkansas; a daughter-in-law, Robin Anne Lake, 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 a.m., on May 23, at Pickles Gap Baptist Church, Conway, Arkansas. Burial will be held at a later date.
