James H. Carter

James H. Carter, 85, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, passed away Monday, May 19, 2014. He was born April 1, 1929 in Plainview, Arkansas to the late Opal and Thelma (Anderson) Carter. Jim served faithfully in the United States Army and retired as a Los Angeles Police Officer. Jim was very plain spoken, direct and honest. He loved to travel, fish and golf. Jim was best known for his many close relationships with his family and long time friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his beautiful wife Audrey. Jim is survived by his sons, John Carter (Lynn) and Mike Carter (Michelle) of California; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
