Jessie Lucille Allred, formerly of North Little Rock, born March 31, 1923 in Mississippi to the late George Monroe Ford and Annie Mae Hubert Ford, widow of Victor M. Allred. Jessie passed away May 19th in Gainesville, Texas after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, sisters, Marjorie Kirkpatrick, Edna Griffith, and Dinah Thielmann. She is survived by sister, Joyce Polk, nieces, nephews and many special friends. Jessie moved with her family when she was a small girl to Livingston, Texas. She lost her mother at the age of 10 and helped her father raise her four little sisters. Upon her marriage to Victor, she moved to Little Rock, Arkansas where she was a beautician by trade. She worked in and owned various beauty shops and taught in a cosmetology school. Upon her retirement she continued to fix hair and give haircuts to all her friends and family. She was a member of Baring Cross Baptist Church and attended First Baptist of Sherwood until she became ill.
