Mary Inez Hopkins

Mary Inez Hopkins 92, formerly of Dennard, Ark. passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 at River Chase Retirement Center, Morrilton, Ark. She was born June 11, 1921 at Breckenridge, Texas to John Spencer and Cora Ann (Lemons) Elmore. She married Averon (Hoppy) Hopkins Sept. 23, 1944 in Amarillo, Texas. Mary was a homemaker, mother and friend who enjoyed many activities but her best loved talent was crocheting. She was preceded in death by Hoppy; son, Royce; her parents; three brothers; two sisters; and three step-daughters. She is survived by her children, Grace and Curtis Rosalius of Crescent City, Ill.; Darell and Lisa Hopkins of Janesville, Wis.; Ann and David Smoot of Wagoner, Okla.; David and Colleen Hopkins of Hattieville, Ark.; Julian and Karen Hopkins of Katy, Texas; Richard and Dotsy Hopkins of Gillette, Wyo.; 30 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and close friends. Pallbearers: Tyler Hopsins, Kevin Ferguson, Randy Goodwin, Wade Wherry, Danny Hackworth, and James Cargile. Honorary Pallbearers: Fred Scott, Jess Loewen, Russ Merritt, Rudolph Rains, and Don Stapleton. Visitation will be 2–4 p.m. Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Ark. Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 26, 2014 at Roller_McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Ark. with Pastors Tommy Jolly and Brendon Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Dennard Cemetery.
