Charles Joseph Chamberlain, 69, of Benton entered the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 18, 2014. He was born on September 7th, 1944 to the late Lockett and Sadie Buckman. He was raised in Shawneetown, Illinois by Joe and Winnie Chamberlain. He worked for Pulaski County Offices in Little Rock, Arkansas State Police and various other organizations for many years. Charles was a Southern Gospel singer/songwriter. He enjoyed ministering in song and testifying about the love, grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ. He touched many people through his song and testimony. He will be greatly missed. He leaves to cherish his memory, his special aunt Lydia Johnson, his siblings Mike (Diane) Buckman, Jerry (Peggy) Buckman, Rita Bond, Robert Walker, Ronnie Buckman, Emily Foster, Kenneth (Mary Lee) Buckman, and Darrell (Pat) Buckman; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Memorials in lieu of flowers, may be made to your favorite charity. Visitation will be on Friday, May 30th from 5-7 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Forest Hill Funeral Home with a memorial service following at 7 p.m. David Fogarty will be officiating.
