Essie Mae Davis Cranford, 89, a native of Tinsman, Ark. and a resident of Luling, La., passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. She is survived by her son, Wendell Cranford and wife Brenda; grandchildren, Tina Cranford, Kerry Cranford and wife Allison; great-grandchild, Bentley Cranford and brother, Frank Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband James Hollis Cranford; parents, James and Effie Smith Davis; brother, Earl Davis and sisters, Nettie Mercer and Eva Porter. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Benton Funeral Home, Fordyce, Ark. with burial to follow in Earnest Cemetery, Tinsman, Ark.
