James M. Houston died Saturday, Nov. 1. He was born Feb. 5, 1937 to Frankie and Sam Houston.
James graduated from Searcy High School and attended Arkansas State at Jonesboro and Beebe.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kurt James Houston and a daughter, Lori Nicole Houston. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Houston; two sisters-in-law, Frances Swain and Maxine Woodle of Searcy; a brother-in-law, F. B. Woodle Jr. and his wife, Sheila of Wynne, Ark.
There will be a visitation at Powell Funeral Home of Searcy on Sunday form 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Gum Springs Cemetery.
