WILLIE MAE ABERNATHY, 87, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord, Oct. 27, 2014. She was born on Jan. 6, 1927 to the late Fred and Annie Mae Oliver.
Survivors include seven children, Veda Sims, Reginald (Shirley) Abernathy, Denny (Rose) Abernathy, Tressie (Don) Stout, Tyra Abernathy, Heidi Lovelace and Chonney Abernathy; she was a proud and loving grandmother of 21 grandchildren; great-grandmother of 38; and great-great grandmother of seven; one brother, Lawrence Oliver.
Visitation will be 12-5 p.m. Wednedsay, Nov. 5 at Ruffin and Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 S Chester St, Little Rock, AR 72202 (501) 372-1305. Home going services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6 at St. Mark Baptist Church, 5722 W. 12th St, Little Rock, AR 72204. Interment will follow at Rest In Peace Memorial Gardens, Hensley, Ark.
