Carnell Farris McGuran

CARNELLFARRIS MCGURAN, of North Little Rock, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014, in Sherwood. She was born Nov. 15, 1916. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen "Cowboy" McGuran, who died in 1963; a son, Don McGuran, who died in 1996; a step-son, Rex McGuran; three brothers and two sisters. She was a home maker and a member of Harmony Baptist Church on Hwy 89, where she taught Sunday School for many years. Carnell had a love for porcelain dolls and enjoyed quilting. She had a good sense of humor and shared many stories with her family. She was interviewed by a newspaper, as owning the oldest residence in Cato, Ark. Survivors are her son, Dwight McGuran of Dardanelle; (Don's wife) her daughter-in-law, Gail McGuran of Jacksonville; a step-son, Ray McGuran of Glendale, Ariz.; nine grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cato Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, 501-835-3515.
