Gary Lee Haley, 72, of Benton passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Saline Memorial Hospital Hospice House in Bryant. He was born February 21, 1942 in Royal Oak, Mich. to the late Bud Zoda and Inez Betty (Davis) Haley. Mr. Haley had retired from Alcoa. He was an avid bird hunter and one helluva baseball coach. Besides his parents he was also predeceased by his wife, Sally Belle Haley, and one son, Garry Bryan Haley. Survivors include two sons, James Darren Zoda Haley and wife Tammi and Timothy Brett Haley and wife Karla all of Benton; one sister, Shirley Ann Russell and husband Charlie of Fayetteville; two brothers, Johnny Howard Haley and wife Lee of Beebe and Carwin Zoda Haley of North Little Rock, 4 grandchildren, James Zackary Zoda Haley, Michael Lane Haley, Adrian Lucas Haley, and Rachael Lauren Haley, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014 at First Christian Church in Benton with Rev. Joe Jorgensen officiating. Interment will follow in Palestine Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Jeff Ward, Chris Ward, Larry Parsons, Cam Parsons, David Hendrix, Doug Hendrix, and Dennis Hendrix. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Haley, Zack Haley, Lucas Haley, and Rachael Haley. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening November 7th at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047).
