Lester Wayne Gilbert, 38, of Redfield passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014. Born July 28, 1976, in Harlingen, Texas; he was a son of Marie Clark Gilbert and the late Jimmy Gilbert. He was received his education in Blythe, California. Mr. Gilbert was currently employed with Welspun Corp. in Little Rock. He had also worked for a pallet company and also on the farm. He was a Southern Baptist by faith.
He was preceded in death by his father and a nephew, Owen Brand. Mr. Gilbert is survived by his mother, Marie Gilbert, of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico; fiancee, Vena White, of Redfield; stepsons, Jacob and Jesse Roberts of Redfield; stepdaughters, Amber, Amanda and Josephine Cox, all of Little Rock; stepson, Paul Holt of Little Rock; brothers, Jimmy David Gilbert, of Terrell, Texas, Robert Gilbert, of White Hall, and Kevin Gilbert, of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico; his sister, Carrie Gilbert, of Redfield; and a host of friends and extended family.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m., Friday, November 7, 2014, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son, with Reverend Stephen Harrison officiating. Friends may sign the online register at www.ralphrobinsonandson.com.
