Thermon Treadaway

Thermon Treadaway, 86, of Vilonia, passed away November 6, 2014. He was born in Morrilton, Arkansas on October 25, 1928 to the late Columbus Ferdinand Treadaway and Ida Bell (Cox) Treadaway. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy Ann Treadaway; five sisters and two brothers. Thermon was a retired Master Sargent in the United States Army during which time he served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He later worked as a machinist; Dorwards Oil Storage Plant and also a rancher. Thermon was a member of Beryl Baptist Church in Vilonia where he served as an inactive deacon. He was also a lifetime member of the NRA. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lillian Treadaway; children, Deanna Bates (Lonnie), Earl Treadaway (Cathy), Don Treadaway; grandchildren, Christy Thomas, Paul Thomas (Raelyn), Victoria Treadaway, David Treadaway, Ryan, Julie and Lindsey Bates, Jerry and Scott Bates; great-grandchildren, C.J. Smith and P.J. Thomas. Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Monday, November 10, 2014 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Arkansas with Reverend Lonnie Wascom officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Holly Mountain Cemetery in Clinton, Arkansas. Serving as Pallbearers are, Earl Treadaway, Don Treadaway, David Treadaway, Lonnie Bates, Ryan Bates, and C.J. Smith. Serving as Honorary Pallbearer will be, Ned Stanley.
