Bobby H Chance

Mr. Bobby H. Chance, 72, of Hamburg, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2014. Mr. Chance was a native of the Norrell Spur Community in Ashley County. He lived in Memphis for 11 years and moved back to Hamburg in 1964. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Vietnam Era. He worked at the Georgia-Pacific Paper Mill having retired in 2004. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 30 in Sheridan, and he loved hunting, fishing, mud riding and spending time in the outdoors. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter & Lillian Norrell Chance; a brother, Charles Leon Chance; and a sister, Violet Chance. He is survived by a son, Tony Chance of Camden; two brothers, Donald Chance of Monroe, Louisiana and David Chance of Sheridan; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew and Cody Chance and several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services and burial will be 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 10, 2014 in the Carlock Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
