Greg Dyke Coyne

GREG DYKE COYNE, the son of James T. Dyke and Lida Gregory Coyne, entered into God's heavenly kingdom on Nov. 5, 2014 at the age of 50 years. He was born in Ft. Smith on May 7, 1964. He grew up on Hwy 10 in Little Rock and attended Joe T. Robinson School. He joined the Army in 1984 and spent two years as a medic. After the Army, he continued his love of medicine and became a licensed practical nurse. He has spent the last few years working in Lonoke. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Michael Kirkpatrick, and his grandparents, Henry and Barbara Dell Gregory of Pine Bluff, and Buddy and Zelpha Coyne of Little Rock. He is survived by his parents, Jim and Lida Coyne of Mt. Vernon; his biological father, Jim Dyke; his sister, Simmons Kirkpatrick; aunt, Susan Gregory Blakely, and an uncle, H. Watt Gregory, besides other relatives and many friends. A memorial service will be held at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Heber Springs at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014. The family ask that memorials be made to Haiti Educational Foundation, c/o First Presbyterian Church, 300 East Main Street, El Dorado, AR 71730 to provide education for children of Haiti.
