Betty Ann Smithwick

Betty Ann Smithwick, 73, of North Little Rock, went to join her husband in their heavenly home on Nov. 8, 2014. She was born June 1, 1941 to the late Jessie W. Venable and Amanda Tackett Venable. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert L. "Bob" Smithwick, three brothers and a sister. She is survived by a compassionate, caring, loving caregiver, daughter, Donna Williams, five other daughters, one son, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping with her family. She played Bingo, and liked to gamble in Tunica. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. The family would like to give a very special thanks to Dr. Jeanne Wei, Dr. Ann Riggs, Dr. Melanie Pilcher and the UAMS staff for their excellent care. They also wish to thank Lakewood Nursing and Rehab. Funeral service will be held at 9 am on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel.
