Floyd J. Hays Jr., 71, of Hot Springs passed away Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014. He was born on May 22, 1943 in Hot Springs to the late Floyd J. and Louise Hays Floyd was also predeceased by his sister-in-law, Jo Hays, and brother-in-law, Ken Sikorski. Those still loving him include his loving wife of 40 years, Susan Hays; daughter, Jenny (Matt) Ford; beloved twin grandsons; his special buddies, Luke and Jackson Ford; brother, Ed Hays of Garland, Texas; sisters, Maelu (Kenneth) Ellis and Carol Sikorski, both of Hot Springs; sister-in-law, Karen Gentile (Dave) of Huntley, Ill.; brother-in-law, Ralph (Ronnie) of Plainfield, Ill.; several nieces, nephews and his very special four-legged friend, Zoe. Floyd was a graduate of the University of Arkansas and an avid Razorback fan. He had an accomplished 31 year career with the FBI and later as an auditor with the state of Arkansas for five years. In addition to being a loving husband, father and Popi (his favorite), he also enjoyed his coffee group, the Band of Brothers. The Rosary will begin at 6 p.m. and the family will continue to receive visitors from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday Nov. 17, 2014 in the Chapel of Gross Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Mary's on Tuesday Nov. 18, 2014 at 10 a.m. Pallbearers include: Dr. Wally Towle, Don Pullen, J.E. Sanders, Morse Gist, Eudox Patterson, Nick Utyesonich, Dean Traywick and Jim Back. Honorary pallbearers include Bruce Garnett, Donnie Plummer, Craig Keaton and Carl Ford. Special thanks are given to Dr. Koehn, Dr. Divers, Dr. Grose and the staff of Arkansas Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arkansas Hospice and Paws and Claws.
