JEAN FRAZIER PATE, 91, of Little Rock passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2014. She was born in Parkin, Ark. on May 2, 1923 to the late Louis and Myrtle Frazier. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond D. Pate; her sister, Mary Adeline Frazier, and her brother, Louis M. Frazier Jr. She is survived by her nephew, Craig Frazier and his son, Matt Frazier; a niece, Anne Frazier Lashley (husband David); her nephew, Vince DeSalvo (wife Nada); a niece, Jan DeSalvo Kirby( husband Eddie) as well as two grandnieces and one grandnephew. Jean attended Arkansas State College (now ASU) at Jonesboro, and it was there she and Raymond met. When he graduated and was in Field Artillery in WWII, she transferred to Arkansas State Teachers College (now UCA), in Conway for her bachelor of science in education. Her MS was earned at University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Jean was a teacher for 25 years for DeValls Bluff, Luxora, Stuttgart and the Little Rock Public Schools. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and Little Rock Centennial Daughters of American Revolution. She was also a Paul Harris Fellow. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank Jean's caregiver, Sonia Walton, for her exceptional care and devotion throughout the final years of Jean's life. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2223 Durwood Rd, Little Rock AR 72207, or to a charity of your choice. A visitation will be held from noon til 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014 at Ruebel Funeral Home, followed by a service in the chapel at 1 p.m. Private family burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park.
