George Brotherton

George Carroll Brotherton, age 76, of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord November 16, 2014. He was born in Bauxite, Arkansas on August 13, 1938 to the late Doyle and Inez Brotherton. George attended Bauxite High School and was a 1961 graduate of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was employed by Gulf Oil for 25 years and Chevron Oil for two years, where he was a Regional Manager over the state of Texas and part of Louisiana. He retired from Citgo Petroleum. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Doylene Hodshire; brothers-in-law, Jack Hodshire and Hugh Crowson and a granddaughter, Kayla Brooke Keen. George is survived by his wife of 55 years, Charlotte; daughter, Carol Cross and husband Danny; son, Ron Brotherton and wife Janice; niece, Lynesa Mathews and husband George; his beloved grandchildren, Amber Keen and husband Scott, Sam and wife Jackie, Hannah, Katie, Melanie Keen; step-grandchildren, Brittany Pinnon, Johnna Gillaspie, Ruthie, Stephanie, Dorothy, Teddy Cross; great-grandchildren, C.J. and Aubrie Pinnon and nieces and nephews, Derek and wife Jennifer, Trey, Whitney, Jase, Brett, Sharlee, Garrett and wife Gentry, Gennings, Tamasa, Katie, Shea Crowson, Holly, Daniel, George and wife Courtney, their children Kaden and Kamryn Mathews. He was a faithful member of the Bible Church of Little Rock for 26 years. George was a member of the Bauxite Old Timers. He was devoted to his family and his church. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 19 at Ebenezer Cemetery in Tull. Pastors James Henrich, Tim Senn and Paul Hamline will be officiating.
