Mathilda "Tillie" Goedecke Scott

Mathilda "Tillie" Goedecke Scott, 93, was born in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on October 14, 1921 and passed away on November 14, 2014 in Little Rock, Ark. She is preceded in death by her parents, C.R. "Cris" and Henrietta "Etta" Voss Goedecke, brother, Karl Goedecke, brother, Harold (Ellen) Goedecke, son Gary Scott, and ex-husband Otis Scott. She is survived by brother, Leo Goedecke (Mildred) of Cypress, Texas; sister, Lorene Unruh (Elmer) of Hutchinson, Kan.; son, Larry Scott (Karen) of Sapulpa, Okla.; son, David Scott (Joyce) of Little Rock, Ark.; two nieces; six nephews; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She enjoyed doing needlework in her spare time. Her sewing skills won multiple awards in the county fair competitions. In her younger years, she worked for Douglas Aircraft Company in Tulsa building bombers during the war and later worked for Wickham Packing Company. She held subsequent jobs as a telephone operator, bookkeeper, poodle groomer, nurse, but cherished most her job as mother. Services for Mathilda Scott will be held on Wednesday, November 19 at 2 p.m. at the Green Hill Funeral Home in Sapulpa.
