Richard L. Rogers

Richard L. Rogers, 72, of Thornton died Sunday November 16, 2014. He was born July 20, 1942 in Sparkman to the late Harold Boyd Rogers and Myrtle Willett Rogers. He was also preceded in death by his brother Lester Rogers. He is survived by his wife Barbara Neal Rogers of Thornton; two sons, Timothy Rogers and wife Tracey of Bearden and Spencer Rogers and wife Coni of Jonesboro; one daughter Celina McChesney and husband Clint of Greenbrier; three brothers H.D. Rogers of Grove Oak, Alabama, Glen Rogers of White Hall, and Ronnie Rogers of Waxahachie, Texas; two sisters, Louise Green of Lubbock, Texas and Carolyn Soloman of Kingsland, Texas; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Thornton Methodist Church with Rev. Andy Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Kingsland Cemetery.
