A Graveside Service for Billie Ruth Phillips Rea of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at Layton Cemetery, with Dale Crunkleton officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 18, 2014, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m., at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Billie passed away November 15, 2014, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 87. She was born December 5, 1926, in Yellville, Arkansas, the daughter of Dee and Lela Crunkleton Phillips. She married C.F. "Tank" Rea on November 19, 1944, in Yellville. Tank and Billie opened Tank Rea Insurance Agency in Yellville and expanded their business to Mtn. Home in 1967. In 1975 they moved to Mountain Home and Billie continued to commute and manage the Yellville agency until her retirement. She was a member of the Baxter Belle's Red Hat Society and enjoyed cooking, her cats, and spending time with her friends and family. Billie is survived by her daughter, Phyllis (Bill) Burleson of Mountain Home, Ark., two grandchildren, Robin (Hardy) Banks of Benton, Ark., and Scott Burleson of Arlington, Va., six great-grandchildren, Jason, Brice, Derik, Courtney, Tyler and Will. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Donald Phillips. Burial will be in the Layton Cemetery in Yellville, Ark., with Scott Burleson, Hardy Banks, Brice Burleson, Derik McGuire, Tyler Banks, and Will Banks as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer Jason Burleson. Memorials may be made to North Central Arkansas Humane Society. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
