Scott Gordon Smith, 51 of Hot Springs, Arkansas, died Monday, November 17, 2014. He was born January 7, 1963 in Senatobia, Mississippi to Charles Gordon and Sarah Elizabeth (Shanks) Smith. Scott obtained a Master's Degree from University of Arkansas where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He was a Rehabilitation Counselor at ACTI who fulfilled his passion for music by working as a disc jockey.
Scott is preceded in death by his mother and his sister, Diane Smith. He is survived by his father, Charles Gordon Smith (Carol) of Hot Springs; sister, Sharon Meeks Hayman of Fayetteville; nephews, Chad Meeks (Stephanie), Blake Scott Smith (Cynthia) and four great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2014 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel. Guests may register at www.caruth-hale.com.
