John William Patton IV

Photo of John William Patton IV
John William Patton IV was born in Fayetteville, Ark. on October 26, 1957. There are no words to describe John as he lived life as one of his heroes; Henry David Thoreau said "If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer." John was loved by many and will be immeasurably missed by his huge family and friends. His intellect, heart, soul, and culinary talents enriched and enhanced this world. He showed dignity, courage and love throughout the entire battle against pancreatic cancer after being diagnosed last January. He died on November 16 and we all will miss him deeply but are grateful that his suffering is over. The family would like to request any donations go to Compassion and Choices. Donate by mail to Compassion & Choices Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 485, Etna, N.H., 03750-0485, or by calling 800-247-7421. John is survived by his parents, Ginny Patton Summerville (Bobby), John W Patton III (Anne), his wife, Camille, his children, John W Patton V, Scot Patton, Kinder Patton, Sophie Cook, his siblings, Stacy Patton, Holly Patton, Matt Patton, Andrew Patton, Marcy Patton and nieces, nephews, and innumerable others who loved him deeply.
