John Ward Gann, 98, of Little Rock, passed away November 19, 2014. Born in Laneburg, Arkansas to Claud and Emily Ward Gann, he was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. John was a Chief Mechanical Officer at the Rock Island Railroad. He was a member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and a member of the Scimitar Shrine Temple. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betty Gann and six siblings, he is survived by his daughters, Charlotte Noernberg and husband, Dennis and Caroline Guinn, both of Little Rock, and Mary Wallace and husband, George of Decatur, Alabama; son, John Gann of Overland Park, Kansas; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be Saturday, November 22 at 11 a.m. at Laneburg Cemetery in Nevada County, officiated by Rev. Rick Jaggars. A service will be held on Sunday, November 23 at 3 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), preceded by visitation beginning at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
