Kimberly Ann Brown

Kimberly Ann Brown, 47, of Little Rock passed away Wednesday, November 19th, 2014. She was born in Dallas Texas to Elwood and Shirley (Chandler) Whitfield on April 7, 1967. She was a police officer for the City of Shannon Hills and a member of Somers Avenue Church of Christ. Kim was blessed with a green thumb and loved to garden. She was a loving mother and daughter who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her mother Shirley Ann Whitfield; her grandparents Mervyn and Jean Whitfield, James and Ruby Chandler and her uncle Robert Whitfield. Kim leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Christina Lee Ann (Tim) Owens of Fort Smith and Heather Layne Bowers of Little Rock; Heather's father Grady Bowers of Alabama; her father Elwood Whitfield of Little Rock; her brother David Lee (Dana) Whitfield of Indianapolis, In; her aunts Goldie Jean (Morris) Whitehead, Carolyn Joyce (Larry) Foster, Robena Carolina (Art) Ford, Diamond Irene (Jay) Rancourt and Marilyn Wood; her uncles John H.M. (Diane) Whitfield, Charles C.F. (Linda) Whitfield, Harold Dwain (Regina) Chandler and Lawrence Edward (Lily) Whitfield; her niece and nephews Timothy Jonathan Whitfield, Rebeka Joy Whitfield and Peter Bryan Whitfield along with a host of extended family and friends. A special thanks to Doctor Minor and the nurses at Hospice of central Arkansas who made Kim's last days more comfortable. A very special thanks to a special nurse Roxanne. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. at Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, Ark. 72117 (501) 835-3515. A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 23rd at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
