James Herbert Burchfield

James Herbert Burchfield, age 63, of Crossett, Ark., passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014. He was born on March 29, 1951 to his parents, Leroy "Tiny" Jr. and Opal Savage Burchfield. Mr. Burchfield was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was in Maintenance for Georgia Pacific. James loved to hunt, fish, trap, and spend time outdoors. He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy "Tiny" Burchfield Jr. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Nenda Measel Burchfield of Crossett, Ark.; his mother, Opal Savage Burchfield of Crossett, Ark.; one brother, Roger Eddis Burchfield (Carol) of Campti, La.; one aunt, Ruth Galbraith (Fritz) of Thomasville, Ala.; three nephews, Bart Measel, Scott Jones (Molly), Jared Jones; two nieces, Jennifer Wheelis (Lee), Sandy Massey (Daniel); seven great-nephews, one great-niece; and a special buddy, Billy Joe Lovett (Judy) of Millport, Ala. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Russell Moore, Ken Burchfield and Greg Sivils officiating. Interment will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, Ark. (www.jonesservice.com). Visitation will be held Saturday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
