Ivan Dean Wilburn

Ivan Dean Wilburn, 77, of Harrison, Ark. left his family and friends Nov. 21, 2014. He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Kathryn Allen Wilburn and two daughters, Suzanne Axon, Nixa, Mo. and Tina (Tim) Stoddard, Hot Springs, Ark.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six nieces/nephews and a host of family and friends. Dean is also survived by two sisters, Imogene Payne, Vancouver, Wash., Gwendola (Jack) Tennyson, Harrison, Ark. and brother-in-law, Virgil Stonecipher, Harrison, Ark. Dean was pre-deceased by his parents, Marvin and Robie (Ray) Wilburn; brother and sister-in-law, Deuford and Mozena Wilburn; sisters, Audrice Stonecipher, Reggie Payne; nephew, Douglas Wilburn and niece, Barbara Palmer. In his early career, Dean coached high school basketball from 1960-1973, changing to insurance he retired in 1997 as a Regional NW Rep. from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Arkansas. Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 24, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. and service will be Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014 at 10 a.m., both to be held at First Baptist Church of Arkansas. Pallbearers: John and Marie Needham, James Trammell, Jerry Greenhaw, Mel Blackwood, Don Smith and Joe Foley and special friends, Dr. Ralph Bowers, Roger and Carlene Morris. His final resting place is Maplewood Cemetery, Harrison.
