Roy "Bubba" Bryant, 60, a lifetime resident of Pine Bluff, passed away Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014 at his home. Born Aug. 20, 1954 in Pine Bluff, he was a son of the late Francis Leroy Bryant and the late Blanche Addison Bryant Moore. He received his education in Pine Bluff, where he attended the Annunciation Academy and was a 1972 graduate of Pine Bluff High School. He attended The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he received his degree in photography. While in school in Florida, he worked on a French cruise ship that sailed to Alaska and an Archeology Ship off the coast of Florida. As a young man, he started Bryant Photography, a business he proudly ran for 31 years. He was responsible for many school, dance, sports, wedding and family portraits during his career. In 1985, he married Lynn Thompson. Together they had two daughters and shared almost 30 years of life, love and memories. Memories which he caught all through the lens of his camera. Bubba loved to duck hunt and to golf. He was always gardening in the spring and was talented in the art of wood working. He was a devoted family man, always making time for his friends and family whom he cherished. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where he had served on the Parish Council. Bubba was also active with the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Leslie Bryant. Bubba is survived by his wife, Lynn Bryant, of Pine Bluff; his daughters, Mary Virginia Bryant Luffman, and husband, Scotty, of Little Rock and Leslie Anne Bryant, of Fayetteville; his step-father, Dr. Jim Moore Sr.; his brother, John Bryant and wife, Leonette; his sister, Mary Cavin and husband, Dabbs; brother-in-law, Tommy Thompson; sister-in-law, Jackie Frances Beevers; and several nieces and nephews, Wes Thompson (Rachel), Chris Thompson (Danna), Sara Bryant, Will Cavin, Kate Cavin, Rob Bryant and Geoffrey Bryant. A mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Frank DuPreez and Deacon Noel F. "Bud" Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. A vigil will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Ralph Robinson & Son, with a visitation following until 6 p.m. Friends may sign the online register at www.ralphrobinsonandson.com.
