Vic Quinn, 65, of Conway passed away Nov. 22, 2014, after a year long battle with cancer. He was born in Columbia, Tenn. on Dec. 29, 1948 to Victor Quinn and Jean Westmoreland Quinn Johnson. He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Quinn. Vic was a graduate of the University of Tennessee Martin, where he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology and counseling. While in college, he played on the UT Martin Basketball team and later became a basketball coach for 10 years in Tennessee, Missouri and Arkansas. Vic became an insurance agent with Farmers Insurance, where he enjoyed a 32-year career. He was very active in the community being involved with the Jaycees, Community Arts and many other boards and professional organizations over the years. Vic also served as the Chairman of Toad Suck Daze and served on the Board of Counseling Associates. He especially enjoyed his term as Commissioner of the Noon Basketball League. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cathy Ramsey Quinn; son, Bryan Quinn (Missy) of Conway; mother, Jean Johnson (Roy) of Columbia, Tenn.; sister, Suzanne Curl (Jim) of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; brother, Michael Quinn of Tuscaloosa, Ala. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014 at First United Methodist Church in Conway, with Rev. Marty Sykes and Richie Howell officiating. Visitation will be from 11–1 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway. For online obituary: www.rollerfuneralhomes.com.
