Jane Tudor Bowie

Jane Tudor Bowie the daughter of John Tudor and Winnie Miller Tudor was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on June 19, 1940 and passed away at Baptist Health Medical Center in Heber Springs on November 25, 2014 at the age of 74 years. Jane spent her formative years growing up in North Little Rock. She attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and graduated with honors in 1962. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and P. E. O. and was a member of the Arkansas Alumni Association. While at College she met her husband C. Paul Bowie and they married in 1961. She worked as a stay at home mom and household manager moving many times in her husband's career with Conoco. She enjoyed playing bridge and golf with her many friends on Eden Isle. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Heber Springs. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by her husband C. Paul Bowie, two sons, Mark Tudor Bowie and wife Sara of Orange, California, and Steven Paul Bowie and wife Pam of Brookfield, Illinois, four grandchildren Malcolm and Alice Bowie of Orange, California and Elena and Sophia Bowie of Brookfield, Illinois. She is also survived by a brother Dr. John M. Tudor of East Falmouth, Massachusetts and a sister Carol Barbero of Wheatland, Wyoming besides other relatives and many friends. A visitation will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Heber Springs on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 1 p.m. and a memorial service will be held at the church at 2 p.m. by Rev. Tommy Toombs.
