Wanda Merle Hartsfield

Wanda Merle Hartsfield 88, of Hope, Ark., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014 at Heather Manor Nursing Center in Hope, Ark. She was born on Sept. 26, 1926 in Hope, Ark., to Ernest and Nolas Cobb. She was a member of Garrrett Memorial Baptist Church in Hope for 73 years. She was a homemaker for many years, after her children were older she went to work for Ritchie Grocery Company and worked there for 18 years. Her family meant everything to our mother, and she meant everything to us. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Nolas Cobb; a daughter, Judy Jackson; and a grandson, Paul Jackson Jr. She is survived by her husband of more than 70 years, Herbert Hartsfield; daughter, Gail McGill and husband Bob of Nashville, Ark.; son, Jerry Hartsfield and wife Pam of Conway, Ark.; son-in-law, Paul Jackson of Magnolia, Ark.; five grandson, Chris Hartsfield, Matt Hartsfield, Mark McGill, Phillip Jackson and Perry Jackson; two granddaughters, Michelle McGill Boulden and Heather Hartsfield Hopper; 16 great-grandchildren; and lots of extended family and friends. Family visitation will be Friday, Nov. 28, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home Chapel, Hope, Ark. Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 28, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Silvey officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Hartsfield, Matt Hartsfield, Mark McGill, Hunter Tuggle, Beau Boulden and Joseph Hopper.
